“Famous zen temple you must visit when you in Inasa”
“It’s a large and beautiful place you can experience Japanese culture “
“Myriad of Jizos welcome you”
Visitor’s Review
Built on a mountain more than 600 years ago, the place is made of various temples attached together. Each one has unbelievable architecture.
It’s really one of the hugest place I have never seen and I strongly recommend you to take a close look at the roof. You will surely understand that even in the 14th century, Japanese had already great architectural skills.
You can also find numerous small Buddha statues (the “gohyakurakan”) looking at you around the temple. Each one has its own expression and because there are so many, I was searching for the one which looks just like me. And I finally found it!
